Dr. David C. Rice is a mesothelioma doctor and administers mesothelioma treatment and therapy as the Associate Professor of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas.

Research and Topics of Interest:
Dr. Rice’s main focus is on the surgical treatment of mesothelioma, for which he’s known nationally and internationally. His research includes intensity modulated radiation therapy after surgical resection of mesothelioma, neoadjuvant trials of chemotherapy and novel targeted agents as well as improved ways of preoperative staging of mesothelioma.
His other main clinical interest is in minimally invasive surgery for thoracic malignancies and he serves on the Executive Committee of Minimally Invasive and New Technologies in Oncologic Surgery (MINTOS).
